ICE - In Case Of Emergency
We all carry our mobile phones with names and numbers stored in its memory. If we were to be involved in an accident or were taken ill, the people attending us would have our mobile phone but wouldn't know who to call. Yes, there are hundreds of numbers stored but which one is the contact person in case of an emergency? Hence this 'ICE' (In Case of Emergency) campaign.
The concept of 'ICE' is catching on quickly. It is a method of contact during emergency situations. As mobile phones are carried by the majority of the population, all you need to do is store the number of a contact person or persons who should be contacted during emergency under the name 'ICE' (In Case of Emergency). The idea was thought up by a paremedic who found that when he went to the scenes of accidents there were always mobile phones with patients but they didn't know which number to call.
He therefore thought that it would be a good idea if there was a nationally recognised name for this purpose. In an emergency situation, Emergency service personnel and hospital staff would be able to quickly contact the right person by simply dialling the number you have stored as 'ICE'. Please forward this information to everyone you know.
It won't take too many 'forwards' before everybody will know about this. It really could save your life, or put a loved one's mind at rest.
For more than one contact name, simply enter ICE1, ICE2, ICE3 and so on.
Please forward this information to as many people as you can this could really help in an emergency!
As you will see on our items to buy page, we have shed/garage/caravan alarms for the small price of £10 each. There have been a number of shed and garage burglaries lately with various items being stolen. Please consider one of our motion sensor alarms for the inside of your shed or garage and remember to lock everything away out of sight in the shed or garage at night or when you go out or away.
The same goes for bikes, there has been an increase in thefts of bikes lately, please consider securing a bolt to the inside of your shed or garage then securing your bike to the bolt by a very thick secure chain to make it harder for the thieves to take.
You will also notice that we sell number plate security kits, thieves are also targetting number plates off any vehicle to enable them to go along and steal fuel from petrol stations and the first you'll know about your number plate being stolen is when the police knock on your door as the petrol station will have your number plate on their cctv, so please consider for the small price of £1-50 per pack securing your vehicle number plate to your vehicle.
